Mary Kaplan

Practice Administrator

Mary_KaplanMary started working with Dr. Schwartz in 1985 as a chairside dental assistant and has worked her way up to her current position as practice administrator. She is certified with the Dental Assisting National Board and a Lifetime Member of the American Dental Assistants Association. Her favorite thing about working at Colonial Dental Associates are the people, she has known some of the patients so long they are now like family. Mary enjoys exercising and spending time with her own family and friends. Mary is always on the move, she walks at least 10,000 steps a day and has participated in motorcycle rides for charity.

Lee Oxford

Patient Care Coordinator

Lee is the newest member of the team at Colonial Dental. She has been in the dental field for over 25 years and takes great joy in establishing a positive rapport with patients. Lee is a family orientated, environmentally conscious, animal lover, who enjoys mountain hiking, biking, yoga and growing fresh produce in her garden.

Diane Therriault

Receptionist


Diane is a relative newcomer at the front desk of Colonial Dental and is enjoying getting to know the patients at Colonial. Previously, as a certified teacher, Diane enjoyed a career working with young children, as well as volunteering as a tutor teaching English as a second language. In her free time, Diane loves to travel with her daughter and can’t wait for the next trip. She is an avid reader, and admires anyone who can pull off a great story.

Edyta Jesionek

Dental Assistant

Edyta_JesionekEdyta has been with Colonial Dental Associates for 17 years. She was born in Poland but immigrated to the United States in 1987. Edyta enjoys socializing with friends and family, weekend getaways, shopping.

Susan McDade

Registered Dental Hygienist

Susan_McDadeSusan has been working for Colonial Dental Associates since 1970. She was in the first dental hygienist class to graduate from Harper College. She loves seeing the different patients who come in, getting to know their families and watching their kids grow. Susan likes traveling and seeing friends when she’s away from work.

Miriam Camacho

Registered Dental Hygienist

Miriam_CamachoMiriam loves to educate patients on improving their oral hygiene and seeing their smiles light up when they take her advice to heart. She received her degree from the University of Illinois – Dental Hygiene Program. When not at work Miriam likes to garden and watch the flowers grow.

Vanessa Hartzell

Registered Dental Hygienist

Vanessa_HartzellVanessa has been giving people healthier smiles for the past thirteen years at Colonial Dental Associates. She loves meeting new people and seeing the difference each visit makes in her patients’ oral health. Vanessa received her bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene from Northern Arizona University. Making jewelry and gardening are just a few of the things she likes to do on her time off.

Laura D. Hennessey

Registered Dental Hygienist

Lauri_HennesseyA relative newcomer, Laura has been at Colonial Dental since 2011. She enjoys the close-knit family atmosphere of the practice and being part of a fun and friendly team. Laura graduated form Marquette University in 1988 and continues to have a passion for dentistry that drives her to stay current with new dental and hygiene advances. In her spare time, Laura enjoys getting out and exercising as well as playing with her two dogs, Declan and Seamus.

Beth Regan

Registered Dental Hygienist

Beth ReganBeth is committed to improving the oral health of her patients and promoting high standards of quality care. She’s a relative newcomer to Colonial Dental, but has been practicing for over twenty five years. Originally from New Orleans, she spent 9 years in Luzern, Switzerland sharing her expertise in dental hygiene before ending up in the Chicagoland area. Beth loves to travel, and enjoys cooking and spend time with her daughter. When not at work you can find her volunteering with special needs groups or cheering on her beloved New Orleans’ Saints.
